Rice in a Flash

I think I only cooked rice once or twice in college and it was not an easy task; timing exactly when to remove the pot from heat or when to cover the pot was beyond me. So, I simply didn’t make rice until I got the Cuisinart’s 4-Cup Rice Cooker for my most recent birthday. My mom has had one for quite a while at home, so I knew how easy it was to operate. This rice cooker is a great investment for making perfect rice every time. The sleek design takes up very little counter space and cleanup is a breeze with its removable cooking pot’s non-stick surface. It comes complete with a removable cooking pot, capable of cooking up to 4-cups of rice; a measuring cup, lid and plastic rice paddle.

Cuisinart 4-Cup Rice Cooker

When making rice, it’s as easy as measuring out your rice, adding the appropriate amount of water, putting the lid on and pressing the lever down. Then you simply walk away and let the rice cooker do the work. The great things about the Cuisinart Rice Cooker is that when the rice is done cooking, it automatically switches to a warming function, ensuring your rice is kept at the perfect temperature, ready whenever you are. The rice cooker also comes with a steaming tray, so you can cook rice and steam vegetables or shrimp at the same time. When removing rice from the cooking pot, be sure to use the plastic rice paddle and avoid using metalic utensils, so as not to scratch the non-stick surface of the cooking pot. The rice cooker can also serve as a warming pot for other types of foods, such as fondue, as one of my classmates did during our fondue party.
